I like that, and I can honestly say I’ve never encountered it before. Usually, when I’m feeling low and pessimistic, I remind myself that the summit of Mt. Everest was once part of the sea floor; and that our own potential is no different. The fact that this process took around 400 million years *usually* doesn’t deter me (I’m a patient sort of person – yes, even that patient) … but for those times ahead when I’m not responding to my usual approach, I can happily employ the fall or fly perspective (because when I’m not patient, ‘fall or fly’ would be right up my alley!). Thank you for this 🙂
He says that to me a lot too
I love that saying. I first saw it in a Sandman graphic novel. Before Loki, I used to think I was being visited by Morpheus.
